wiggleit Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 A question to all SV owners. What sort of MPG do you get out of your bike.Just started riding my SVs and could do with an idea of how frequently I'll need to stop for fuel - got a long trip planned.Cheers guys Quote
mojobanana Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Ello fellow SVs rider!!!I get something approaching 130 miles out of a full tank, before the light starts flashing (at which point you have 4 litres of fuel left, at 2 litres it stays on). £12 or so to fill the tank just after it's started flashing. The tank is 16 litres (mine's an 05 plate, don't think it's changed since then). Hope this helps. I have the Haynes manual if there's anything you want looking up Quote
Guest Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Good idea to set your trip meter every time you fill up Wiggleit Quote
Guest Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Carole, fill her up, re-set the trip and re-set at each fill up, then you have a figure/estimate to work from, I have a fuelgauge, and redlight, but can manage between 130-180miles between fill ups, depending on the ride.. not on an SV though, but the principal is the same..
