K3zzer Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Hello,I recently bought a new CCM TL125 (Last saturday to be exact). Recently, cracks in the front fairing near the petrol tank have started to form and getting larger by the day. I have visited my dealer and placed a claim to get new front fairings. However, today the bike has started to rattle (vibrate) really badly, ALOT more than usual. When I hit high RPM, the bike starts to vibrate alot. Also, it seems the power in it has decreased judging by the speeds I can get to in the gears. In second gear, the vibration is too much to handle for 30mph, whereas when I first had it, the bike handled 30mph in 2nd gear perfectly fine. In 3rd gear, the bike starts to vibrate really badly at 40mph. Does anybody have any idea what the vibrating could be? I have no clue when it comes to bikes (only started riding them for a few months) so my knowledge of them is very minimal. Should I take it back to my dealer or will the problem have come from the cracks in both the fairings near the petrol tank? Thanks, I appreciate it! Quote
K3zzer Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 No clue what they are (as I said, no clue at all when it comes to under the seat part). What should I be looking for?I just took my seat off and rescrewed it in, the vibration definitely seems to have lowered down abit, but it's still there. Quote
Guest Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 have a look at the engine, look for any bolts that secure it to the frame, and check they are tight, need to get the socket set out.. if they are loose, i would get some thread lock on them, stop them working loose in future.. Quote
Colin the Bear Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 If your bike is vibrating and it's new, get it back to the shop before something serious happens.GO NOW Quote
