Pete Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 If I can get my zorsts fixed then I might be up for it I'll ask around some mates and see if they want to nip down too Quote
yorbandit Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Nwvwe thought of popping over for the day on me bike but i do have the panniers now???? Quote
RiffmasterII Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Its still an idea at the moment, if there's people up for it then throw rough dates my way and I will look at cost etc. I guess after November 20th would be the best time for me Quote
lib Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 This sounds good. I can only really do alternate weekends though and 20th of November isn't one of them. Still, I might not be able to go anyway, so I wouldn't worry about that!Hmmm, I wonder how much the tunnel costs and what the deal is for bikes, or were you thinking of the ferry? Quote
Paul Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Here is my roster for Nov/Dec. I am off on the RED days. Am available most of them but not the 12/13 Dec.Oh and I am also off every Sunday too. Pete Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 You part-timer I currently have no job so as long as I can gather some savings together then I'm happy!Oh and I fixed my exhausts today so it's a thumbs up from me! Pencil me in mind, don't use biro in case I can't get the cash together. I'm more than a bit interested though (basically it's a yes if I can get money!). Quote
Guest Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I'd like to, but its just so far to Dover (went to France/Belgium a few weeks back and there was nothing more boring that the motorway!) Quote
RiffmasterII Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 It looks like a good date would be the 21st of November. I've priced up the Ferry from Dover to Calais and with a special discount that I should be able to get it will cost £21.14 for bikers, normally £23.50.I've had a quick look and Lille has a Christmas market on at this time which is apparently the largest in Northern France so seems like a good place to head to. We could locate a supermarket on the way back for a few bottles of vodka or whatever you fancy! I'm happy to book the Ferry for anybody if they forward me a cheque first or you can book it yourselves if you fancy it.I’m heading over from Bognor Regis (I know very sad book I'm planning my escape plan as I type!) I’m happy to meet anywhere around here or on the M25 / M20 or at Dover, just let me know. Here's a link for the Christmas markethttp://www.frenchconnections.co.uk/en/g ... 0-dec-2009CheersAlan Quote
