That is going to take some sorting....

Head gasket definitely blown (some time ago too).

Need to clean off all deposits, replace liners, test level (and possibly skim), fit new gaskets, fit head, test for compression on all cylinders BEFORE running.

I personally would throw and replace.

Hi mate, thanks for replying.

Ive already started since posting this, ive cleaned everything up, got rid of all carbon, old gasket pieces and checked head on a piece of glass. Seems fine, gap was constant anyway.

Is there any paticular reason i should replace the liners, i was thinking of leaving them. I had no coolant in the oil so i dont think they are cracked or leaking and now the head is off i have filled the water jacket with water and left it for 48 hours now and the level has not gone down, so i dont think they are leaking at all, so am i right in thinking they are fine?

New gasket kit ordered, im hoping it will be a simple case of new head gasket solves everything.

I bought the bike with a leaking waterpump, i think the loss of coolant has resulted in overheating thus blown head gasket. Previous owner couldnt be arsed to do the work so sold it on cheap, which is where i come in

GAP??? the head when placed on a sheet of glass should have no gap and shouldn't rock, (distorted)

you should only need new liners or a rebore if the bores (cylinders/tubes) and pistons are scored..

get a new gasket and sort the pump, and rebuild, google compression test... and get out your haynes..

make sure you bleed the coolant.. and take things steady and keep an eye for leaks/problems
