Which engine oil ?

I have tried to search this but couldn't get anything useful..

I noticed that with my clutch in and in first gear that the bike still seems to drag (making the bike harder to push compared to in neutral) and some times i have problems getting the bike from neutral to first, and general gear changes seem clunky. After messing around with the clutch cable it hasn't made any difference, and i have read online that it maybe a good idea to change the engine oil, so i had a look at what oil to get  Note: The bike was sat for a good month or so at the dealers...

So I found:

Motul 5100 ester based semi-synthetic

and

Motul 5100 4T Technosynthese oil

but them i wasn't sure which one to get, and one have any recommendations? Or any other oil?? I dont mind paying a high price for top quality oil..

Thanks,

Chris.

get a semi synthetic oil 10/40 but it wont solve the problem

chances are the clutch basket is worn or the steel plates are warped slightly which causes the drag if you sit at traffic lights with the clutch pulled in and in gear it will get worse as the heat genarated by the drag will cause the plates to expand and drag more

my clutch basket is worn badly from hard starts its the tabs on the clutch plates that cause notches in the basket and the plates dont release properly i stripped mine and smoothed the notches out but still doing it just not as bad

i will be putting new steal plates in plus a new friction plates which will sort the problem out altogether

the only way to check to see which of the two it is, is to strip and inspect just hope your not unlucky like me and its both!!!!

Eek, so i guess putting it in neutral will slow down the process then?

it only gets worse as it heats up but the hotter it gets the more warped the plates will become mine has been like it for 3 years now  it doesnt mean it will get worse quickly just over time

to get it in to neutral try blipping the throttle or just tap it in to neutral just before you come to a stop
