Ok so I know you can paint lids but you have to be careful about paints/primers reacting with finishes and affecting the strength blah blah blah

BUT

What about applying stickers/decals? Surely this would be pretty safe to do?

I am looking into vinyl wrapping my lid... I like it, it fits, it is solid but it is scratched - a nice wrap would sort it out pretty cheaply and I think look quite cool.

Opinions?

just make sure the adhesive used wont weaken the outer shell.

would it not be easier to get it painted tho?

depends on the material i believe.

Plastic? It can soften the outer.

I think the other main material is fibreglass? Thats fine :)

Would it cover any scratches? I dunno, if they're deep enough it'd just split the vinyl after a while wouldn't it? But if they're not deep then yeah it'd look good. What kind of design are you going for?

Do it :D

Should be OK on any painted shell, F/glass, multi fibre etc, even painted poly, but not on unpainted poly - very bad idea!

just don't drop it onto the hardtop.. saves clingwrapping it or painting it, loving the magic marker paint job.. you not feel the need at NEC.. all that money burning a hole... just wait till the baby comes..
