hello3459 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Took it to a garage and got it moted and everything and now on the road... but i have a problem...It struggles to get into the higher gear.... once it reaches 36-37 its goes into it but it cant do 36-37 on a straight so i can only pick up speed down a hill which isnt good on a straight in a 40 zone.I think it needs adjusting? is it something i could do with minor mechanical experience? and i am willing to buy any parts for it so what parts would i need to buy?EDIT: It is an automatic Thanks!!! Guest Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 How many miles has it covered?? Has it had the belt and rollers done??? Has it been de-restricted?? Quote
hello3459 Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 9200 - yes its derestricted - when i had the exhaust fitted the guy took it for a test run and said he got 36 out of it and probably needs the rollers doing at some point. Quote
Guest Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Think the belt and rollers ought to be looked at 1st...make sure they are ok and see if any of the rollers have flat spotted. Quote
hello3459 Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 Yup flat spotted? you mean like worn? Quote
hello3459 Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 so it could be the transmission? Quote
Guest Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Yes they can get flat spots....so the variator does not close up far enough. Quote
Guest Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Have a look at Maxmoto.co.uk....may be of some help. Quote
