klutch Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 My indicators stopped flashing a while ago when my battery went due to the cold weather but have now replaced the battery and the indicators still dnt flash, seems strange but when the bike is at 5000 revs they do flash, does anyone know what this is as it has puzzled me lol Quote
Guest Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 First thing to do Klutch is check all the connections. .... Quote
klutch Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 First thing to do Klutch is check all the connections. ....Connections seem fine and clean, could it still be the flasher unit even though it works above 5k revs Quote
Guest Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I've not (personally) heard of that happening before... but I see WF lurking So maybe a more definitive answer will materialise.... Quote
Guest Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 its got to be a charge issue.. is the battery fully charged..? if the flasher unit was gone you wouldn't get anything.. at 5k revs the alternator will be putting charge back into the battery, so i guess the battery's lower than it should be, try the horn if the batterys weak this will sound poor (well more than normal) and does she fire up ok, or struggle, another sign of a weak battery..... Guest Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Basically Klutch, to eliminate the battery as a potential problem, give it a full charge and see if the problem persists. Quote

klutch Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 Thanks il do that in morning why its pitch black lol, il let u know how i get on tomorrow Quote
Colin the Bear Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Probably not but just might be the earth. The lead from the battery that bolts to the frame or the earth return from the indicator circuit. Quote
