TMBF paintball meet!!!

Recommended Posts

Well, i just had an idea whilst in the TMBF chatroom, figured it would be fun!!

Most paintball days start at 8:30am-ish, so people travelling from a distance would have to be up early!!

Usually finish around 4ish... I imagine it'd be top fun, if we can get a group together of 10 or so, i think we could get a nice discount :)

So please post here (the usual, copy and paste the list routine) if you're interested :)

Surely people may want to know where you had in mind for this to happen???

agreed!! It would just be like me saying to everyone here, "Fancy a drink anyone?" :D

Paintball can be excellent fun but the last two that I went on we were in teams with people we didn't know. If you get ten people from here then you would be thrown in with any number of people to make the numbers up. (Lets say the company are looking for 30 people a day, ten just means pitching in with a load of strangers).

Best would be to get the place to yourselves for the day, like a corporate event, this is by far the best option. A great example of this would be the TMBF rally thing. There would be enough people there to make two good sides. It does make a difference if both sides know each other.

Anyhow, I would suggest having a look at how many people a place can take then working on that and try and get that many people from here to attend.

Also a venue central to everyone would be good too. I used to play at a place right next to Jodrell Bank in Cheshire. Somewhere like that would be ideal.

PS, I wouldn't do it in the summer either. Have played once in August. Really hard work in the heat. Lots of uncomfortable people and not much fun.

Well, maybe we could tie it in with the rally? Just a thought, but we could find a place local to the rally and do a pball day on the saturday :)

If not, i think somewhere like sheffield would be good? Looks like a kinda central place to me... But it really depends what people fancy. I wouldn't mind riding an hour or two each way, how far are other people looking to go?

Would be good to see how many people are interested before planning something properly :)

wouldn't work around the rally, people to pissed usually, just pick a place and a rough date then ask if people would be interested!

That way you would have some idea of cost etc when the inevitable questions come!

Paintballing is ace! Dan and I went at the beginning of this month, in the snow!

It was our first time and we didn't really know just how much it costs, and ended up leaving after just 4 games because we were completely out of balls (used 1000 between us and werent able to buy more).

We went with a load of mates who got a discount for the huge group (but we have since found out that we could have got it even cheaper with loads more balls if they had of chosen a different package.

We went to this place in Madeley and spent £80 in total.

Aye, gotta ration the pballs lol. Usually £6 for 100 :o

We'd probably all club together and buy a big discount box.

Ok, i'll have a look at some places, get a price, and see who fancies it :)

I took a bike club from Telford and we bought 2 x 1000 ball boxes then just rationed them out so we got a pack of x number per game or set of games.

This also stops those with more money just buying more ammo

The one in Madeley is amazing, I played there the other week in the snow.

I went abit mad and used 2300 paintballs, which cost over £100.

Compared to other venues I have been Unreal in Madeley have better playing areas, and games seem to last ages there.

Hmm, will definately check that out! I've heard of "Unreal" paintball before...

Oh right! That sucks. The cold didn't bother us, we just couldn't afford more balls lol. What were the other games like, as we only did the tyres and bridge ones.
