I could be wrong, but it sounds to me like a throttle cable problem. the pus pull cables sound like they are sticking, i imagine getting new ones or cleaning the ones you have would help.

But anyway, this answer isnt worth reading, a TMBF expert will be along shortly lol

is this all the time..?

1. choke stuck on..

2. try adjusting the tickover screw, have the engine warm and running and turn the screw, if the revs climb, turn it the other way.. until its about where it should be..

tickover ok at 1500 revs and choke off , havent got manual to see where the spring came from lol , my first bike and done 30 miles in 4 months arghhh :x

use the link on my previous post,

1500 sounds a little high for tickover..

and was the spring slightly larger than the sump plug, and fits the thread (heli-Coil)

does the bike try to pull when in gear and clutch in? clutch related rev issue.

edit an air leak would, to check spray WD40 round the inlet rubbers if the revs increase you have a leak (WD acts as a fuel)

clutch seems fine, tried the wd40 trick on inlet rubbers no change in revs ,

reved the bike from tickover to 8000 revs and the revs hesitate around 4-5000 revs before climbing on , :crybaby:

revs climbing without input, its a fuel issue, somehow fuel is entering the cylinder without throttle...

might be time to have someone take a look at it, as its a safety issue...

its not a toyota is it......

mmmm just had a mess around again with throttle revs ,holding still then slowly coming back, manual saying tickover should be set at 13-1500 revs, i just reduced that to 1000 revs and found the revs come str8 back down :D not took it out yet to try just hope that all it was

Sounds like the very same problem i had about a month or so ago, Drove me mad i posted on here and got some great help.

I did everything from lubbing throttle cable etc and eventually i did the carb cleaner route, and its loads better, Iv found it uses a little more petrol now than what it used to (think it must of clean out jets etc, But runs loads better found it to be a little quicker also, But on a whole it dont play up no more,

When its cold i still get the old "Holding Revs" for about 10 seconds, but nothing that will make the bike move!

So maybe carb cleaning could be the thing you need to try there are loads of sprays out there! Or if your tech minded you could remove it completly! :)

hi scott yeh i replaced carb runs better but it just being a sod at mo , wont work off choke ,set revs at 1100 but cuts out when stopping, set at 1400 and revs hold high for ages arghhhhhhhhhh lol i dont think im gonna take me test on this bike :(
