MtotheJ Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Hey everyone! Long time no speak! Just having some slight issues with my bike...well I think its an issue.I didnt ride for about a month due to the snow and not being at home etc and my battery had run down. Bought a charger and it took around 24 hours to charge fully but then was fine. Went out for a ride (about 30 mins before my hands were extremely painful!) and then went back to uni. Have come back a couple of weeks later, tried to start the bike again and it doesnt want to go. Its turning over and coughing and spluttering but not starting. Should the battery have already discharged itself in 2 weeks? Do I need to think about getting a new battery or is this normal?Cheers! Quote
techno Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 I would say the battery shouldnt have discharged in that time tbh!But I would also be surprised with the age of the bike that you need a new battery! As you had just a small ride you will have started the bike a few times and not gone to far perhaps, cant you just leave the bike on the charger between use?
