keeny Posted February 28, 2010 Author Posted February 28, 2010 might give em a try then as i'm having trouble seeing up the road behind me with my mirrors no matter where i place them. Quote
Stu Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 what bike you riding ?are you seeing your elbow? if so you might just need a set of mirrow spacers but then again it wont hurt haveing a wider view of the road Quote

Guest Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Normally you fit spacers where the mirrors fit the fairing m8. Use longer bolts too. Only gives you about an inch, probably not worth the hassle.I had the same problem on my SV1000, i fitted the spacers, they made a difference, but not enough that I'd fit em again. For the effort involved, them sticky blind spot mirrors got to be worth a go Let us know how you get on mate! Quote
archiec Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I use them and they help but nothing better that a good view from regular mirrors, might need to fiddle about adjusting them Quote

But i have a feeling that using the blind spot things, will mean im obstructing some of the view area behind me (and the fact ill probably place them in the wrong place ) Quote
keeny Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 i'll prob try the spacers if i can muster the effort required to take the fairings apart...........but in the short term will defo stick a blind spot mirror on just to try it. Quote
Guest Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I tried them on the Pan (the mirrors are built-in and cannot be extended) but it's better to be aware of the surrounding traffic and to do lots of shoulder checks to be sure. Quote
keeny Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 I do check over my shoulders ( life savers ) and try to be aware of whats going on around me and ahead, however it was another biker that scared the crap out of me by overtaking me at what must of been 140 ish, and i just can't get the right angle on the mirrors to see enough far back up the road .if that makes sense. Guest Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Yup - that's the problem with the Pan.Trial and error - use Blutack until you get them where you want them and then make sure the surface is totally clean before fixing them in place. Quote
Ingah Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I fitted long-stem mirrors to my bike. Works well for me... Quote
