Do you need to be in first on swerve test?

On the swerve test after you have swerved and coming to a stop do you need to stop in first gear or can you stop in 3rd and then switch down before you pull off?

You can stop in whatever gear you want. Just remember to check both shoulders and mirrors before moving off again

Yeah, it doesn't matter if you are even in gear when you stop as long as you do it safely with your front wheel in the box. I did it in second gear though - worked well for most of us I think.

Oh, and don't forget those shoulder checks.
