Have a pug406, on a 53 plate.

Coming home from work it started banging and clattering at the back. Was not happening on straight roads, but sounded awful going over speed bumps and any bumps in the road.

Have had a squeek on back wheel when turning but this has been intermittent (sp).

What could it be? Is it suspension or summat to do with wheel?

I hate cars.....will have to take bike to work tomoro :D

Yeah thats it Viks, the only other thing I can think of are bushes on the anti roll bar

Think David's probably right - suspension/worn bushes...

Moral of the story... when in 'car land' always buy german...

Swedish & Jap good as well, but the Krauts make the best

motors...

Splines on the end of torsion rods on the 205s used to wear out - but I'm

not sure if they'll have followed with that design on the 405...

You got a good local garage QV?

There are two control arms on the back that I had replaced, it cost me about £90 at a small local garage, I don’t know what a main dealer would charge
