The extra mods are usually welding to make it fit the downpipes, and fitting new brackets to keep the new exhaust in the right place. I mean, that exhaust is a stubby and looks to be at a new angle, so it would need a new bracket.

Ah sorry i didnt write the question very well

The fitting of the exhaust is fine but i was talking more along the lines of engine mods?? I heard someone say about re-jetting the carbs to allow for the extra BHP that can be added with the new exhaust??

Ohhh, sorry. I'm afraid i don't know muchanything about that! :) Good luck anyway, looks like a nice pipe :thumb:

You can happily fit a new can without changing anything else with no problems, you might even get the odd pop and bang :)

However you can go to a 'stage 1' tune which is basically a new exhaust, sports air filters, high capacity spark plugs and leads and a tune up (carb setting on older bikes or new carbs and probably a power commander on newer bikes)

It will depend on the exhuast mate, most decent one do not need you to alter the fueling if it is just the can you are changing.

If you change pipe and air filter, or you put a full exhuast system on then you will probably have to alter the fueling (either a dynojet kit for carbs or a powercommander or remap for FI).

Check with the supplier to see if you will need to alter fueling mate, because some exhuasts can make the bike run lean which is not good.
