Guy Montag Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 How do you take off a windscreen? I isn't held on with bolts like a thought it would be, it is held on with sort of rivets, how do I remove them? would I be able to reuse them to fit a new screen?CheersPS it's an NC30. Quote
blakeatron Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Never had this problem as all my screens have bolted on!If they are proper metal rivets then you will have to drill them out - but they are dirt cheap to replace. They might be plastic rivets as used in some fairings, in which case you try and push the centre pin out or in (depends on the fitting!) and then carefully pull the main body of the rivet out.Its a fiddly job and I always end up breaking a few of the plastic ones when replacing panels Quote
