DSA - how long is each test valid for?

I've tried to search but found nothing.

So you need CBT, Theory and then Module 1 and Module 2 for DSA.

I know that CBT is valid for 2 years but how long is the Theory and the rest tests valid for? What is the time limit that you need to get all the test done for DSA?

CBT and Theory is valid for 2 years. Not sure about Module 1

as above but mod 1 & 2 have to be taken within the 2 yrs of doing the cbt & theory as none are valid without each other so you have to do it all before the cbt runs out

I did my CBT a month ago, so I will do the theory over winter and then spring time I'll start doing my modules.

Not being funny, but why not do your theory now? Then you could quite easily do mod 1 and mod 2 now in this nice summer weather

I actualy prefered being on a 125 for the bast part of a year, make your mistakes on that.

Lighter and cheaper bikes to drop, scratch or crash. Also get 1 years NCB and the difference will be mahoosive when you get your first quote on a 600+.........

The training isn't free and I have spend about £2.5k on my first bike and clothing etc in the last 4 weeks and my saving are low now.

I have now ybr 125 and I ride it every day so I get the experience that I need for bigger bikes and the tests. Hopefully by next year I'll have few thousands miles of riding a geared bike experience which should lower the costs of training needed for module 1 and 2.

I think that is the best plan, like I said, make the mistakes on a smaller bike and the consequences should'nt be as big............

Well fair enough, but theres no harm in spending £30 on a theory test, and maybe giving the mod1 a try... £15 for the test, u dont need any training

Not that i need to know this, but doesnt the theory start a new 2 year timeline, so in essence you could do the CBT then 22 months later the theory, and still have 2 years to do the test...

did mine the the old days,

no CBT needed to ride, so rode a 50cc for a year, then did CBT and test, and moved onto a 200cc 2stroke twin..

Having not long passed heres what you need to know cbt and theory are both valid for two years but they must both be valid for you to do mod 1+2 and they cant run out between the mods or you have to start again
