Takanta Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 hi all , well last night my clutch cable completely snapped. luckily I had just arrived at a m8s house , but it was at 12:30am and had to wait 3 hrs for them to get home lol ah well atleast it wasnt at traffic lights.so anyway I couldn't get bike home today so its sitting in his garden is replacement of the cable easy enough to do ? and how common is it for the clutch cable to break on bikes? especially 125's?reason is im currently arguing with my dad as he thinks its all my fault and said the clutch cable was fine, ( even though he couldn't see it since its covered in plastic/rubber stuff) Quote
Pete Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 It's not your fault, they do break. It depends how old the cable is and how well it's been maintained. They're not at all difficult to replace so get your Haynes out and give it a go. £15 or so for a new one and maybe an hour of your time if you've never done it before, job's a good 'un Quote

I have done that on my 125 and happy 100%. Totally worth it. it took 10 minutes to do. Quote
