Dunno probably not in this world we live but of you want one just buy one, carry the clear one with ya, same as if you were a tinted one.

what would happen if i get pulled by the fuzz with a mirrored one on and i wernt carrrying a clear one?

:stupid:

If they treat them the same as car windows they are illegal if the light passing through them is depleted by more than 30%

isn't it illegal but down to officers discretion whether to charge on it depending on conditions like if its the middle of the day bright and sunny let it go but if its dusk or crap visibilty and you have no clear one on you your screwed

albine if you do a search i think this was covered recently i'm sure someone posted a link to a police forum about this.

I would be surprised if they did anything, youd have been pulled for something else, only known one person get done for it and speed he was going he got off lightly!

ahhhhh right, thanks for the pdf doc that was quite helpfull. i will wait untill i get an R6 then they wont be able to catch me to pull me over for it hahaha (joke)

i read this on the pdf too,

"It is therefore recommended that a common sense approach

be applied, constructive and helpful advice should be offered where

appropriate and that intervention and education is required in cases of

obvious danger, for example, riders wearing shorts and tee shirts."

so if i went out on my bike on a summers day in a pair of shorts and a t shirt and helmet, they could pull me over and bore me about the dangers of riding with out proper protection??

Yes they could.

And why not? It is a common sense approach after all ....

But would you actually go out with shorts, and tshirt on a bike in summer? If you would, you would count yourself lucky to be stopped and have them bore you about it.

As said above, visors have to let a certain amount of sunlight in, why dont you get an AGV Stealth S4, they are very good helmets, stylish agressive look, and have an inbuilt sun visor, similar to the caberg helmets, but much better. Only my opinion though.

personally i wouldnt ride in shorts and t shirt. i just feel that if you own a bike you understand the risks and should be left to it if you decide to put your body at risk.

i was actually looking at that helmet when i bought mine, i put an order in for a nitro one that does the same thing but i got messed about and ended up with a totaly different one in the end.

wish i had bought that one now :(

I went into town a few weeks ago on a hot day in my shorts and t-shirt. Had my big gloves and helmet on. On the way home I pulled up next to a police bike at some lights. He glanced over at me, I nodded and he nodded back then the lights changed. I followed him up the road and turned off at the next lights, he carried on going. He must have been having a bad though bas he drove straight through a load of oil that a bus had dumped in the middle of the road.......

I heard mirrored visors go clear where stone chips are and it can be dodgy riding when that happens, but tinted ones are still dark where the stone chip is. Basically on the mirrored ones the mirror layer comes off easily but tinted ones don't.

Might want to consider that if it is true.

i think that is true, my mates mirrored visor is chipped and scratched every where and its clear where its chipped. i think a dark tint will look just as good to be honest :)

Yeah i love my tinted visor, it really helps even if its not sunny. I find i never need to squint and looking ahead really is made easier when everything is damped down/ had the shine taken off it. (useful even with wet roads and lots of sun light etc)

i really want one because they look cool and help with the sun and glare ect

but i have a feeling that if a police officer see's someone one a 125 with L plates wearing a tinted visor they are more likely to pull them over than if it were some on on a 600cc.

i dont know if its worth the risk of being pulled over

i am skint now until next month so i will decide when i get paid haha
