Planning a 2 week trip around France - August

Hi,

I'm planning a trip around the top half of France - definitely want to see Normandy but I'm not sure what else is worth seeing. I know I cant see everything but a few suggested highlights would be really helpful - also any general tips and good places to stay.

Actually I also want to trip around the top half but I dont know any nice place when you can go there and enjoy biking so If you have any idea about it then suggest me place.

Great trip - 2 weeks and 2000 miles.

Loved it, the roads are made for bikes over there. Best advice is to stay off the motorways and take the D-Roads. I think I hit only about 3 potholes in two weeks which is amazing.

Normandy was beautiful so was The Loire Valley. Navigation was so easy because the roads are so well signed - some roads do lead into a town and then start on the other side which is fine unless you are in a hurry. Also - getting into Paris and out again was in a word 'emotional'.
