Honda SCV 100 FE Scooter Idle problem / cutting out

Hi all

Bought my wife a honda scv lead 100 fe scooter a little over a month ago and it has a problem I noticed when I bought it that it wouldn’t idle always and would cut out when you drop it off the stand when looking I noticed that the spark plug cap kept just falling off the spark plug anyway I replaced both the plug and cap. However it keeps cutting out when you drop it off the stand brake or even when you let got of the accelerator sometimes I turned up the idle but no joy. I have also noticed a smell of petrol but no obvious signs can anyone help.

Checked for any loose connections to the battery or between any other cables? make sure nothing is short circuiting and causing the cut off too.

which is the cut of, also are there anywhere you can get manuals theres none on ebay i prefer a CD

What I mean't by 'cut off' was there maybe be 2 wires touching each other which shouldn't be and this is whats causing the engine to cut off i.e.

You should be able to find a 'Haynes Manual' for the bike, type in 'Honda SCV 100 FE Haynes Manual' on google, see what comes up. Good luck!
