Anyone have any advice or instructions for replacing the rear brake on my YBR125 please? The wear indicator is at minimum and they aren't working well at all now.

Any help or instruction would be really useful.

Thanks.

Hi

Bike on main stand

Undo the brake actuator arm nut (wingnut)

undo the torque arm (stops the drum spinning round)

remove wheel

slide drum brake out from side of the wheel,

then you can see the shoes..

remove shoes and fit new, helps if you fit as a pair together, like opening a bear trap..

reift to inner of wheel and then refit wheel to bike, fit torque arm and actuator bar,

and test

Pretty straight forward then. Will have a go when I get a minute to myself. Cheers mate.

I'm in Winster at the Rally this weekend, so if stuck pop down, (Miners Standard, Winster)

Not gonna be able to get it done this weekend, already have family plans. Thanks for the offer tho, really appreciated.

Off hiking with the family on Saturday, and pub dinner sunday followed by football and beer :)
