I have been working on a bike i got for free and i got it started, but after a while i could only get it to bump start and the kickstart wasnt working well. Now when i go along, the kickstart makes a funny noice that sounds like when you kickstart a running bike, i only ride it around the farm as a summer project but i was wondering how to stop the noice or if there is anyway to disable the kickstart, it is a Honda CG125. Thanks

Also can you weld on the bike with petrol in the tank or will it explode

is the kick start at the top when making the noise or is it going down as only farm bike use bungy strap to hold kickstart up and i would remove tank to do the welding and also the battery

it makes the noice whislt up aswell, the last guy used the kickstart as a footstand :S, yeah i will bunjie it up

sounds like the internal mechanism of the kickstart is down,

and it depends where and what yopu are welding, i had the slincer welded on my bike nothing was mremoved, but mas sure ignition is off, due to the electric current used when mig welding
