motorcycle theory test and full car licence.

hey all,

a couple of years ago i had a full car licence, and riding a bike on L plates, as soon as i got wind that they were changing the test into some disasterous EUSSR thing i applied for the theory test for bikes, believing that its needed, although i already did a theory test for cars previously.

i dug the highway code out so my GF have a have a read before her CBT, and i found on page 120, a note which states:-

For motorcycle and moped riders wishing to upgrade, the following give exemption from taking the motorcycle theory test,

Full A1 motorcycle licence

Full moped licence, if gained after 1/7/96

since all car licences comes with a full moped licence, would everyone with a full car licence, beable to cite this reason as for not havibng to take the motorcycle theory test?
