BoB3rt Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Yo,I've had a few brain waves over the past week and am thinking of playing with about ~£4,000now i could rant on about ideas to keep my ZX6R and things to do to it, or get track bike etc...Or show you the bikes am intrested in and get some personal opinions - everyone likes to vote 1) Daytona 675http://www.modifbike.info/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/053b8_daytona-675-2006.jpg2) CBR 600 Repsolhttp://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq29/andrewp2485/764.jpgAny other sujestions please fire away, i do like some R6's aswell as i have been able to have ago of a friends but preffer the earlier models and cant afford the newer '08 onwards. Also a friend has a CBR600 but yet to have a go and i don't know anyone that has a Daytona 675 but OMG cheers Quote
JoshTimmins Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 love the daytona. and when my restriction comes off thats my next bike me thinkssoo purrdyy!Josh Quote
iWannaGoFast Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Daytona is very very very nice, but NOTHING beats that CBR in Repsol scheme. Quote
techno Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I have just seen for the first time a 600 in repsol, i would assume there few and far between...but given the choice i think i would go with the triumph..especially with my love hate relationship with cbrs! Quote
Guest Spire Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 There are loads of CBR's in repsol colours.Just depends what floats your boat. Do you like race reps or not? That aside. I would suggest you test ride both bikes and see which you prefer. Sod what anyone else thinks. Its which you prefer. Quote
Guest Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 You can get a daytona for 4k ? Biketrader is saying closer to 5k!Id choose the 675, apparently has a good strong engine (lots of torque) and handles real well. Plus your probably better of comparing the cbr600rr than the normal cbr Also, i prefer the newer r6's look than them two, dunno why just like it lots. But the 06 model has no midrange from what i hear, so looking at 2008? Quote
Guest Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I vote Triumph. Its a better looking bike, and as said, i hear the engine is better. Well, its more CC, so its likely to have more torque/power...As far as Repsol goes...You are not a race rider. This is a road bike. The roads are not race tracks. You don't see race replica cars driving about (certainly not more than once or twice anyway).Lots of decals to ruin if you fall off Quote
sparkeh9 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I think it's a safe bet to say that there are more CBRs on the road than daytonas. Why not be different? Quote
Mightycaz Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I have seen 2 differnet resprol CBR's today and a few 125 versions over the last few weeks. I haven't seen any of the new Daytonas knockin about tho so I have voted for that. And it looks sweeeeeet....... Quote
BoB3rt Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 I tend to be leaning towards the Daytona myself if anything because they are not every other bike you see on the road (like the CBR) but at the same time i do like the CBR's and enjoy the repsol colours:with regards to the colours having a bike all together i suppose is being a bit diffrent - at least in britain.and you dont see many cars with more than one colour but plenty of sports bikes do even if they aren't race replicas eg. my ZX Green/Purpleso i see what you mean its not going to be on a track or raced (as such) but... it's to be diffrent and it looks the shiz! anyways, i just figured that if CBR's are so popular there must be a reason. Am realy just trying to way up all the pros and cons without personal prefferances such as looks and colours.ie handling, reliable.... and the best way is usually peoples first hand experience. the comment of the cbr not having as much middle caught my attention and the fact the daytona has a strong engine again has swayed me to looking further into the trumph plus having the extra power from a 675 might be a nice step up.still will the cbr hold its price more? parts easier to get etc ?few daytonas about for just over £4k.... quite alot on a popular auction site keep em comments coming! even if it is just ... " that bike looks nicer " haha Quote
John doe Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Defo go for the trumpet, those engines are fantastic torquey and fast revving. Plus the bike looks beautiful. Quote
MWillow Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 100% Daytona... But then again i'm biased!!Here's mine http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s292/mikejwillow/Bike%20Pics/IMG_1679.jpg Quote
