Bill_on_a_bike Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Turns out, all that racing start table cloth non-sence wasnt so clever.Anyway, my clutch is well on its way out. Intermittent atm but definitely lacking acceleration and engine braking at times. What needds replacing? Friction plates? Steel plates? Springs?Cheers all Quote
Stu Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 if its slipping then i would most probably be the friction plates check steel plates for warpage and measure springs to make sure they are in spec! Lesson of the day dont give it beans till the clutch is all the way out! Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 yep will be the friction plates is worth changing springs as matter of course as you have to remove them to change the clutch plates Quote

Bill_on_a_bike Posted July 14, 2010 Author Posted July 14, 2010 Sounds good, probably will do springs while I'm at it, would rather not fork out for steels if I can help it. Quote
