Guest Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Hello all,I found this site by Googling my problem. I am from America but I live in Japan. In America I ride a Kawasaki Ninja 636 slightly modified and caged. I missed riding in Japan and since the laws here are pretty crazy I decided to get a cheap 125cc.On to my problem. When I turn the ignition on I get NOTHING. No lights, no clicks, no starting, no horn, nothing.I pop start it and it runs fine, but otherwise NOTHING. No lights, no horn, no electricity outside of the motor. Even if I drive it for a while the battery doesn't seem to charge (if that's the problem). Today I replaced the battery fluid and tried riding it to charge the battery again... no luck. No electricity.Japan's not really a cost friendly place when it comes to taking bikes to the shop (they wanted $170 for a new battery). Also they wont give any tips or advice. Can someone here help me? Quote

Guest Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 main fuse? are the connections to the battery sound and tight.. Its been so long since I've been on a forum for a second I forgot to quote you....anywho, I checked the main fuse (as in I took it out and looked at it)... not sure what to look for. There was a metal in the glass and it wasn't broken... so I think thats fine.As for the connections to the battery, there as tight as I can make them, next time I take them off I'll have to replace the screws since I stripped them a little. rennie Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Hello and welcome please say hello in the newbies section you really need a multimeter or some sortof electrical tester.start at the battery, do you have volts?,then follow the volts till you lose them.sounds like a fuse to me! Quote
