[lonely old bob]

At last I have been able to get out and ride the lastest addition to my bike stable my pristine 1982 CBX550F2.

I left Lonely HQ at 9am to arrive at Carne about 10-30 going I went the direct route which took me though Bristol on the ring road up Tog Hill where I stopped for a pee I did not stay there long as there were some doggy looking people hanging around.

There were loads of bikes all lined up on pavements on the village green ect.

As I was looking at the bikes a fellow came over to me and said are you Lonely Bob yes I replied turned out Dave & I meet him last year at the Bath & West Classic Bike Show on the Enfield Stand.(its a small world)

We had a nice chat and I gave him a card with the forum web address on.

A few mins later I see another rider coming towards me who came on a ride a few years ago to Stonehenge again we had a good chat then who should come up to me and say are you the FAMOUS Lonely Old Bob yes yes I am he then she puts her arm around me and the rest is history.

The very nice Mayor of Carne Helen Plenty

I had a nice chat with Helen who told me that she had a crash helmet at home so Calne has a bike friendly Mayor

Tearing my self away from Helen as I still had lots of bikes to see where are all the Royal Enfields i thought to my self it took me a while to find them tucked away on the edge of the green.

The Wiltshire branch of the REOC who seemed to only want to talk to them selves not unlike when Dave & I were members of the REOC in the early 90s.

I had a good day out on my own the ride home was very good as I stayed away from Bristol and went via the old A37 around the Mendips

The Honda went like a dream and we are bonding very nicely thank you

Wow very nice photographs.actually I am big fan of that type of old bikes and I think you make beautiful collection of it. and if you have more photographs than send it I really like it
