Does anyone know of any places where I can do CBT in Sale/Altrincham/Stretford area? I only know of Scotti Knights. Is there any other in that area or should I try to find somewhere else?

Also, are there usually long waiting lists for CBT's?

Thanks for any input

Heres a list of them all;

I live in Urmston, and my mate Edgey lives in stretford, and we both did ours in a great place in Bolton. It was the cheapest and we both felt very comfortable there.

Some good no-nonsence instructors (that don't take shit from chavs :P), Yamaha SR125s and YBR 125s, and they do a good job.

Mercury Motorcyle Training was the one we went to!

EDIT: Regarding waiting lists, not usually long lists as there are so many schools to choose from. Not like test centres, which are sparce! You will be able to find a free spot at at least one school in the area for the following weekend.

Thanks man. I've seen this website but was hoping that there are more centres.

Bolton sounds good, and the price is really good. I was expecting to pay somewhere around 120 pounds so that's a nice surprise.

Thanks for not ignoring the new guy lads :)

I've been to Scotti Knights today and spoke to the lady, they charge £120, don't do CBTs on the weekend (unless you do it as a part of DAS) and the earliest free slot at the moment is mid-September - that's in case someone needed that kind of info :wink:

It's me again, and I want to thanks CobbZ once more :)

On Thursday I called the place in Bolton you recommended and nice lady on the other side said there are two places (cos I was doing it with my father) on 28th!! I couldn't believe it. I just came back from there and it was pretty awesome, even though it was pissing with rain. All three guys were great, but Neil (I think. Ex army guy) was exceptional, he was teching me most of the day, and then I rode with him on the roads. Great, great guy. Even offered me his Yamaha TDM cheap as chips. He said it's gonna be OK for beginner :lol: :lol:

I already told them I'm coming back for DAS once I turn 21.

No worries mate, me and Edgey loved it there. We really loll'ed at Jim (i think thats his name), the big Scottish bloke. Top guy xD Got all the time in the world, if he thinks you're worth it - and not some scumbag :P

Cracking place. Their DAS prices are really cheap, but they don't include test fees, bear that in mind :)
