I'm have problems at times pulling away, first gear I seem to keep letting out the clutch too fast so can be a bit jerky I know what I'm doing wrong there.

BUT

I keep forgetting to cancel the indicators and that's is really annoying me. Anyone got any advice on this one?

well as Ive never forgot to turn of indicators my only advise would be is too keep ur thumb on the button until you are around the corner then ehm just cancel it . you will get use to cancelling them automatically once u get riding more. will fry into ur mind! haha

i know what you mean, just relax a bit more, try to let the clutch out a tad slower and after using the indicator, every 20 seconds or so look at the indicator light until you know it is out. helped me although there are still the odd times i forget. :stupid:

Some people put a buzzer in the indicator circuit so it beeps when they indicate. Otherwise, just get used to checking they're switched off regularly.

As for smooth set off just make sure you have loads of revs and be really slow with letting clutch out. The revs will dip as you do so, therefore you must compensate with more throttle.

I can take up to 5 full seconds letting it out sometimes and still pull away quick.

Also pausing the clutch just at biting point helps smoothness, applies to gear changes as well.

I do the same. Always trying to keep my thumb on the switch and I cancel it as soon as I finish my maneuvre

Thanks for the heads up, back to training on Friday, sat, Tuesday and mod1 Wednesday. Think Ive overestimated my abilities but will chalk this up to 'the experience' factor ;)

Been fun so far.
