define "best"?

leather is hot. textile has vents and is breathable.

leather is more expensive

Strength wise i am not sure because textiles have come a long way

I dont think thereis enough diference in them to warrent going and buying leather instead if it is just an every day use piece of kit.

Whatever most suits your needs is the best.

+1.

If i had to choose one or the other i'd choose textiles as they're far more versatile. Well fitted leathers will protect you better in the event of an off. Textiles will mean you're less likely to crash in the first place through discomfort! Both is best :)
