Guest Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 What is your budget arg?And it may pay you to go a dealer and try some stuff on to get an idea of what size you are for a particular brand.Sizes and cuts do tend to vary. HeinGericke stuff is very 'germanic' (read: Average bloke or European) wheras Dainese stuff tends to be a much tighter cut. favouring the more petite frame (read : skinnier bloke)Boots and gloves don't seem to vary too much. but a good fit is essential to your comfort and safety, so once again, trying before you buy is quite essential. argentum40 Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 Hi Dan i am not too sure about my exact budget to be honest but the 'brand name' stuff seems out of my range.. Gloves shouldnt be too bad and could probs get some of those ok but cordura gear and boots i am not sure. oh and i am a fat bloke now ggrrrr and about a 34 to 36 waist.. have looked at loads fo boots both new and second hand but i dont know what i am lookin at to be honest Quote
cypek Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Its worth to get to some bike show. You can find there some great offers. 2 months ago I have bought kevlar jeans for £40 and nice leather gloves for £20 Also a week ago Ive bought nice textile jacket. It was RST Ventilator from J&S for £99. I have 2 leather jackets that I could sell. Grey/white Buffallo which is a bit thight on me and black one (dont know make) which is all right but slightly stiff lol. Im 6'1 and also 34-36 in waist. If you want new gear good shops are: J&S Accessories and Ghostbikes. They have good selection and good prices. Used gear then look on ebay and you should find some bargains there Quote
