Play in the clutch lever

My new YBR 125 custom seems to have a little play in the clutch lever, about 2cm my question is should there be any?

Do you mean before it hits the biting point? If so yes, if not then it should be adjustable to your specific likeness, take it back to the garage and ask them to adjust it for you..

Yes its before the biting point, but it doesn't seem to retreat fully as the 2cm travel is loose as it were.

I asked one of my biker m8's at work, it seems that the locking ring that tightens up at the lever end was loose as F***, tightened it back up and it's much better.

Still might take it in I'll see how she is when I ride again later.

sorry if im hijacking this post

got this problem with my 125. theres loads of play in the clutch lever when fully out. easily a inch just doing nothing. the play isnt coming from the cable but the lever that sits just outside the engine that goes into the clutch. anyway of fixing this ?
