1. Not long to go now till the weather improves, the rain will wash the salt off and the shopping for milk extends over a few hundred miles. Good morning
2. Happy birthday Ian mate!
3. I'll have to check tomorrow to be certain but knowing the original owner as I do, it's doubtful.
4. I'll have a look see if I can replace them tomorrow I've no idea on size, but the engine paint is stressing me out. A quick Google and the street can be a nightmare to remove the nuts apparently - poor triumph design..
5. Thanks mate, I'm going to try & get under the engine paint tomorrow see what's going on. In regards to the copper assembly compound, would replacing them first make sense, or is that unnecessary?
6. On preparing my motorcycle for winter I noticed the paint & metal deterioration on the underside. I bought my 2016 bike earlier this year, never ridden in the rain, been exposed to salts, or used an aggressive cleaner. Not sure on the previous owner, but other than this area, it's pristine. Could anyone help me with this & maybe offer some advice on what it is, how to resolve it please? Edit: it's been soaked in ACF50 hence the oily shine . .
7. Oh now I see, you mean cars approaching up from behind.. You have a point, but you'll never stop a smidsy.
8. If your approaching someone they'll see your headlight first & highly doubtful they'll see any reflective jacket etc, IMHO brighter LEDs & I mean stupidly bright will make a difference, everything else is (again IMHO) pointless.
9. I dropped mine on the u turn, lesson learned & never repeated. Is what it is, you'll fly the 2nd
10. If a copper stops you for wearing one, just give him/her a cuddle and offer them support for being a prick, the ride off leaving them to ponder there existence.
11. Street triple is 36mm - stop bringing up the speed ffs
12. "Every day should be a learning day" I'm quite enjoying the trade - just not the costs lol
13. Need a bloody 36mm now for the front sprocket hahaha becoming a regular in Halfrauds...
14. On the street.triple? I've double checked & it says 27mm. Haynes manual is in the garage
15. Sprocket arrived, just need time to fit lol
16. Come on Stu it's all about the feel, not the maths
17. I bottled it and changed it to a 15T hahah
18. No sharp turns Keep off the centre parts of the road where engine oil may have leaked Take your time Keep tyres as warm as possible, make sure the correct air pressure is set Relax! No sudden braking, so judge distances etc Set off earlier Keep warm
19. Will be 12.5% more torque and would lower speed at max revs from say 145 to 128mph. Better throttle control needed as I can't reach the rear brake foot pedal due to my metal knee, (points out) unless I machine the pedal out an inch or more. You have me thinking a 15T would be safer lol
20. I ordered a - 2 14T front last night the bike gets its speed from the front wheel sensor/ABS so it should be fine. Not sure on the chain rubbing on the swing arm, not seen any complaints but I'll do some digging. Cheers peeps, I'll give you all feedback when I get it done.
