Tank Bags with strong magnets and electronic equipment.

Do they mix? I seem to recall reading that the magnets on the tank bag can scramble credit cards. I ask because, my map read skills are a joke. Having the satellite navigation to fall back on would be much easier. I don't think it'll prove a problem but before I break all my electronic equipment...

Never had a problem myself, but i keep my wallet in my pocket, and the satnav (in tank bag) is always a good 5 or 6 inches away from the magnets...

Moot point for me now as the new bike doesn't have a metal tank surround!!

I seem to remember mythbusters usting that myht. Although it was a while ago so dnt take my word 4 it. However i think it could ruin laptops etc cuz they must be pretty strong magnets.
