Do textiles break in?

Never thought about this until got myself a pair of pants off ebay which a a wee bit short at kneepads/tight.

These are gorgreous brand new IXS gore-tex trousers and I would hate to part with them if only I knew they would stretch/shape a bit with time!

If they don't fit now, I doubt they ever will. Always a risk when buying something you haven't tried on. I daresay if the leg length isn't right then the armour and padding is not in the right place either. Probably best to return them or sell them on and buy something that fits. Sorry.
