The local dealer were I am taking my lessons has a winter clothing offer on, A helmet (box), Jacket, Trousers and gloves, all for £150.

Even though I have not got my Bike yet I was thinking to get this gear to continue my lessons with instead of having to borrow it all the time.

Once test passed etc I would want to invest in a better helmet and leathers for the summer riding season, Can't make my mind up if the gear is worth buying as I won't do a lot of winter riding.

Cheers

Depends on the stuff really... I'd say buy something half decent first time around, no point shelling out more than necessary time and time again

As above, depends on the stuff!

I bought my own helmet, jacket, gloves and boots shortly after I started having lessons. I had intended to buy some gear while I was learning anyway but I started learning just before the Scottish motorcycle show so I got helmet/gloves/boots there and saved £££ (jacket came from a sale at a dealers so saved on that too) :D

Just wondering it that's the school by the dee side leisure centre, :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: A top notch School

if it is then, the gear is good at that price, but remember it's not the full blown winter weight

How much longer or how many more lessons before your test. If not long and not many then carry on borrowing if your happy doing so. Save the £150 and buy better summer gear when you are going to be doing most of your riding. I`m sure it sounds a good deal but believe me, my winter gear is a lot more than that and I still feel the cold some times.

At the end of the day mate your choice, but I personally would do the above.
