My mate on another forum had a crappy Nexxus silencer with a mild steel link pipe;

It had cracks at both ends, covered with zorst repair gunge and sounded crap. I said I had a carbon Micron stubby that woul fit and set about making a stainless link pipe for his 4 into 2 into 1;

Had to pay to have a one off 30degree bend in the 57mm o/d 304 stainless pipe;

Was gonna make a collector box , but decided to squash the 57mm to 38mm o/d for the 2 into 1;

Cut the 38mm pipes to length and cut through 90% to fold em to 20degree angle .

The 57mm wasn't wide enough for two 38mm pipes at an angle , so I had to add a bit;

and blend it into the squashed link pipe;

Had the extra bit tacked on and set link pipe and stubby for fitting to his bike before final welding and polishing;

Here it is on the bike;

Well after a few dramas with welders, I found a guy who did the collector for me while I waited and is prepared to do other stuff when I need them, at short notice. Here is the collector straight from welding;

Will be cutting the slots for the 35mm clamps and polishing the welds tomorrow and Thursday, then I'll be posting it!!!

Right , I cut the clamp slots and fitted stainless bolts and nuts for the clamps. Supplies a pair of stainless springs to hold the Stubby in place. Spent about 2 hours polishing it and it's now ready for posting

Up in Derby on April 9th mate, can meet up if ya want. Start a thread with pix and show me what you want. Most things are possible??? :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Ricksta, yeah, doesn't look good for Nexxus. Personally , I would always go for stainless headers and link pipe. Carbon or stainless silencer. Don't like chromed mild steel, always rusts or falls off!!! You can weld stainless and polish it so that you can't tell it's been welded!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
