So... I'm not a tall guy. So when wearing a 1 pc suit standing bolt upright should it be crushing my nuts? I'm guessing not but thought i'd check because it seems odd that it'd a bit too big around the belly/arse but apparently too short for me.

It was a Dainese suit, btw. Presumably different brands are cut differently.

I think they are, and yes sounds bad

In fairness I'm an expensive suit guy, went to HG when I first got leathers and Arlen Ness fit me the best

But I'm waiting on my made to measure suit to be made from Halo. 8-)

Well until recently id never have paid that much money for leathers, but after i tried some on i realised that the difference in quality is amazing. So as riding is something I do for fun then I guess it makes no sense to wear uncomfortable gear. That's my excuse anyway :D

Just gotta find something in the right colours that fits.

Yup its the same for anything, (you usually) get what you pay for.

Initially I paid a lot of money for my leathers etc, but absolutely love my kit. I couldn't be riding around if I was uncomfortable (hence my winter riding drop out ).

But I'm paying a fair amount for some new leathers now (thankfully have a discount) so with this discount its cheaper than my Arlen Ness suit, but made to measure and probably higher quality too.

Go do some leather shopping, tis fun, and fresh leather smells well nice .

If they are racing cut leathers then yes they will do that as they are cut for when on the bike, whereas many other leathers are more of a compromise between riding and walking.

Even custom made leathers, if race cut are not very comfortable walking around, although it depends on how much they are 'crushing your nuts' lol.

I tried around 8 different suits before I found a set that fitted me right, guess its the same with all off the shelf clothes :crybaby:

They will be "firm" around that area, sure, but they shouldn't crush them?!!

Aaron, my BKS suit does have me singing a couple of octaves higher when walking but when on the bike in the riding position it`s great and comfy. Don`t forget, if your leathers are reasonably tight you avoid getting a burn rash through them slipping (for want of a better word) should you come off. Keep trying suits on. some shops have a mock bike to sit on or ask to go and sit on yours, they will normally let you.

Just realised i've asked this twice. Apologies.

**edit** And thanks for the replies : ) After trying on an Alpinestar suit today i thought that Itallians can't all be midgits and then it occured to me that its for a quick hop on and off the bike, not for strutting your stuff.

I guess i'll have to think about whether i want comform onthe bike or off of it. Cheers.

it can´t be a pleasant experience sitting on a bike for any length of time when you´ve got nuts, I imagine, anyway :D

Not when you have to brake sharply :)

i personally wouldnt bother with a 1 piece for road riding, id prefer to be more comfortable now. its a ball ache wearing them when you gotta walk around.

other than that you just need to go to a decent shop and try loads on, the only leathers that fitted me well were the ones i didnt like  they are berick with motogp writted up the leg and arms, luckily i have crashed a few times and scraped that bit off now so its all good

I have to say, the only time guys dont look ridiculous when wearing leathers is when they are on a bike, even when my hubby is stood next to his he looks daft. Makes me laugh every time :D
