Rusty Parts on my Bike, Any Ideas

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Well after riding my bike all through the winter through Ice, Snow, Rain... Everything its took its toll on the poor 125 bike. I have got lots of rust showing up in areas. Any ideas on the areas in the pics on how to get rid of it. Mostly on Rear Suspension Springs, Front Suspension and chain. Nuts and bolts im just replacing with nice new ones, or painting over. Any tips be much appreciated. See pics below:

can only see the pics of the rear shocks and the paint has lifted off them about all you can do is try and rub them down gently and possibly spray them black again or replace them.depends on where the rust is in the front forks if its on the top sections then you will be able to polish them up with good chrome polish

Clean rust off, treat with anti rust solution like Ku-rust and paint with Hammerite. Get rid of rust asap. Long term solution for parts without rubber seals is powdercoating .
