Guest Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I have a Honda CB400SF , the bike starts at times and at times it does not start. You can hear the engine trying to turn over and it does not start. When it has started , if you check the voltage across the battery , I get 12.65v and even if the revvs are above 5000rpm , l still get the same voltage across the battery.I ride the bike for up to 45 minutes one way and the bike will not stall.Initially, the bike had a starting problem and could not start it, it just drained the battery. I was advised to replace regulator/rectifier..which i did and i recharged the battery. The motorbike starts at one time and at times it does not start , and push starting in the morning is no joy. Please help.Thanx Quote
megawatt Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 When it doesn't start, does it turn over slowly. If it doesn't start at normal turnover speed, it could be a fuel or spark problem??? Quote
Guest Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I assume that i have to remove the spark plugs and check them out ...Thanx Quote
