Hi im new to the forums i have a few questions i hope can be answered

I just picked up a Suzuki AY50 for my daughter as a non runner

After sorting a few things on it i got the thing to start but it runs like a bag of you know what

when i got it the fuel lines wasnt connected to the carb so.....

Question 1 is what line goes to what part of the carb?

Question 2 is what are the carb settings eg idle screw posiotion and mixture setting?

Pipe 1 you can suck and blow into and nothing happens

Pipe 2 you cant blow into but can suck, when you suck fuel comes out of pipe 1,

Hope this makes sence to someone lol

Thanks for the help in advance

the pipe you are sucking on is the vaccumm pipe it will connect to the engine just in front of the carb somewhere onto a small brass fitting and pipe 1 is the feed from tank to carb

Pipe 2 could be the vacuum control for the fuel tap (I don't know this bike so this is a guess)

Pipe 1 sounds like the feed from the tap to the carb.

I think that's what eastanglianbiker is saying? So the Vacuum control will go to a nipple on the inlet stub between the carb and the cylinder head.

The Tickover screw just adjusts the tickover speed. The mixture screw adjusts the mixture at tickover. Did you service the carb? May be worth just stripping it and giving it a clean before going too far.

Cheers,

Bob
