Guest Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 took some finding lol http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 32&t=28463 Quote
scanty Posted June 12, 2011 Author Posted June 12, 2011 spent the time since my last post looking through the section. only got as far as page 11! kept seeing threads that interested me, so i've spent ages looking at photochromatic visors, mirrored sun visors, and helmet skins.in regards to the op, i'm winning at the minute (probably not for long) on a certain site. and to the link, my pal has a cheap version of those and you can get them on afforementioned site for around £10. my only concern was that i'd rather have a waterproof camera that doesn't get wet, than have one which isn't and get caught in a downpour. know that it's not a great deal of cash, but in these times and with 2 kids - i'm lucky to have the bike tbh. so every penny counts.i'm sure we all recognise the look when you say to the other half "have you seen this? i fancy one of those" Quote

scanty Posted July 4, 2011 Author Posted July 4, 2011 just an update-i've been bidding on a drift x170, auction ended and sold to someone else for £87. now i got a second chance notice and the guys offering me one for the £80 i originally bid. shame i spent half the cash just after the auction ended. thinking of going on the cadge to get some cash as it seems a good price, considering the next cheapest was £91 with £8 delivery. from the same seller. who's charging £3.95 delivery for the other 1 Quote
scanty Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 Triple post!anyone had any reliable experience with suction mounts at, shall we say, Motorway Speeds? Quote
Guest Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Camera systems I have used, an still use, I have never had an issue with suction cups, at, shall we say... motorway speeds..... I would use a safety line though. Quote
Guest Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Yeah, anything like that, just peace of mind in case a bump shakes it loose... Quote
wannars125 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I just bought the GoPro HD Hero too. It's absolutely brilliant and that's from what I've seen on playback on a normal laptop, not one that is HD compatible. The only problem in my opinion is the 3 hour battery life which is too short lived for my liking so will have to get another battery.I spent a lot of time comparing between this model and the Contour HD which at UK prices is £100 cheaper. On the downside it isn't waterproof so this is what swung it in the go pro's favour for me.You also get lots of fixtures and fittings with the GoPro which makes it good for being transferable between bike and car or whatever other vehicle you might want to attach it to.I'll try and get a video up on here at some point! wannars125 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Oh, you'll need a mahoosive SD card too! At 720p it looks like it chews up about 1Gb per ten mins of recording! Quote
Colin the Bear Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 32Gb should cover ithttp://www.ebuyer.com/search?q=sd+cards Quote
