Hey people,

Am looking for some hints, tips & general advice on taking my CBT Test on Sunday.

Although i have never ridden a motorbike, the people i have spoke to say that you cant really FAIL as the CBT is based around first time riders.

Any helpful information would be great.

Welcome to TMBF :)

Have a good read through here - there's lots of information that should help.

You've been informed correctly, there is no pass/fail of the CBT - it's basic training to bring you up to a standard where the instructor feels you are competent to ride on the road.

Indeed!!

It is Compulsory Basic Training.. not a test.

Be assertitive and positive and confident and you will be fine :thumb:

Oh and pray for dry weather

I did mine about a month ago, it's quite a long day, but they do cover the basics pretty well.

My day started with a safety talk, then onto doing basic manouvers in the yard. Mostly starting stopping, then moving onto slaloms, figures of 8 etc. As long as they deemed you competant enough, they then take you on a 2 hour ride in the afternoon.

I read through this thread to get a great idea of what to expect.
