Guest Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Hey people,Am looking for some hints, tips & general advice on taking my CBT Test on Sunday.Although i have never ridden a motorbike, the people i have spoke to say that you cant really FAIL as the CBT is based around first time riders.Any helpful information would be great. Susieque Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Welcome to TMBF Have a good read through here - there's lots of information that should help. You've been informed correctly, there is no pass/fail of the CBT - it's basic training to bring you up to a standard where the instructor feels you are competent to ride on the road. Guest Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Indeed!!It is Compulsory Basic Training.. not a test.Be assertitive and positive and confident and you will be fine Oh and pray for dry weather Quote
Guest Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I did mine about a month ago, it's quite a long day, but they do cover the basics pretty well.My day started with a safety talk, then onto doing basic manouvers in the yard. Mostly starting stopping, then moving onto slaloms, figures of 8 etc. As long as they deemed you competant enough, they then take you on a 2 hour ride in the afternoon.I read through this thread to get a great idea of what to expect.http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... =47&t=8601Hope this helps Quote
