All clutches make some noise......just listen to any Ducati!!

How much noise are you talking about....and are you having any problems with the clutch?

How's your oil & level?

Could be that the clutch plates are worn and are rattling in the basket. How many miles has the bike got on it?

hi bob the oil level is ok, bikes done 10,000 miles just got the bike back from garage the head had to be removed because one of the spark plugs snapped now the clutch is making quite a noise.Rideing to work today had a couple of stops at traffic lights when moving off bike felt a bit juddery as clutch was relested.

Hi Sam, was the bike making the noise before it went into the garage? Just wondering if this is a red herring. It sounds like to could be worn clutch plates. With only 10000 on the clock it shouldn't be notching in the clutch basket.

The other thing that could rattle more when the clutch is released is the idler gear in the gearbox, but this is not very likely.

Does the clutch slip under hard acceleration? especially in the higher gears.

If the bike was OK before you took it in for the service or whatever you had done I'd be inclined to take it back and make them look at it. Could the rattle be the camchain? They would have had to split that to get the head off....so they could have buggered the tensioner.
