So it started on a somber note on Friday, as it was the first anniversary of when my Dad died.

So I took a trip on my own up to see my Mum in Fife.

Before going to hers though I went to a couple of places my Dad used to take me as a nipper.

From there I went along to Pittenweem, where we used to get our fish and chips and also where they used to have the Gala days with all the trawlers decked out in bunting etc.

Not as many boats there as there used to be.

Then yesterday, we set off and headed for Dumbarton, then down to Tarbet, Arrocher, Inverary.

We stopped at Inverary for some drinks. Then headed off down to Lochgoilhead, then headed over to Oban where we stopped for an ice cream.

From there back towards Dalmally and the Green Welly. Another stop and a chat with some other guys.

Then down to Crianlarich, back round the lochside to Tarbet, and back towards Hamilton along the new M74 extension.

All in about 250 odd miles on what was a lovely day, and most surprisingly there were not a helluva lot of bikes or cars on the roads either.

Roll on the next weekend with lovely weather.
