mealexme Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 jarlaxle's question reminded me of this. (click to zoom)http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5255516/Untitled-2.pngIf I was taking the blue route, would I need to indicate? I would say no as it could confuse people thinking I am switching lanes, but the highway code says to indicate after the last exit...Also the red route, it forks off at the end so surely you should indicate to show which way you are going, but again it could be seen as you are indicating to change lanes. I currently dont indicate on thus roundabout at all as i go straight on and feel that using indicators would confuse people more.Whats the correct thing to do? And what is the best thing to do in test circumstances? Quote

And what is the best thing to do in test circumstances? In both situations, red and blue, the correct thing is to indicate to show you are leaving teh roundabout. As for confusion in people thinking you are switching lanes, remember that the orange flashy thing is ONE method of sognalling, road position is another and your position will tell them that you're leaving the roundabout but unlikely to be changing lanes. On a test, the ex would expect you to indicate to leave the roundabout.
