tl1000r no fuel flow

Yes you should be able to see fuel I'm guessing your not?

Does the fuel pump stop after a few seconds? If not it sounds like no fuel is going through to to injector rail

Exactly that it did spray pathetically in the front cylinder once on monday however now nothing at all. The pump does click off after reaching pressure and it does pump straigh from the tank as i accidentally turned it on when emptying the stale crap

Sounds like it could be clogged injectors

If they wasnt working it would throw up an error

This is my train of thought too now next question is can they be cleaned out?

Posted

Yes but not easily

I would remove them and clean them with carb or injector cleaner and when you remove them make sure there is fuel getting to them

Just like on a car then, ill pull them out then turn it over see what happens. Thatll be the afternoon job I'm so tempted to just put this straight on the road now lol

Well the weather and bike tests got in the way but I've just pulled the injectors out and silly me forgot to test them first but gave them a good spray one at a time and now they spray :D. But I lost a fuel rail washer so soon as I've replaced that ill test properly

Now I'm confused again its back together but no spray from the injectors but I had a really good spray from all 4 when they were out?

hmmmmm you have some strange goings on here and to be honest im stumped at the moment!!

Exactly that, after testing just reinstalled and nothing but one dribble when i first tried. its currently just taking a charge as the charger will only put so much in before its "full" but im going to swap the fuel lines on each side of the inlet out of curiosity but there are no codes and it will still fire from the spray in the inlets?

Silly thought but it wouldnt need bleeding even though im sure it wont need it? Otherwise i too am stumped no wonder my brother lost his rag and asked to insure and borrow my 125 lol

Thank you so much for the help stu ive just found the cause being a pipe off the pump in the tank and the injectors were flowing due to gravity :D

Have a clip to prove the old girl lives

">

again thank you so much

no it wont need bleeding up it will bleed its self

i would be surpprised if the injectors are sticking too as i cant see all four sticking but then again only 2 work at tickover the other 2 come in at about 4k :?

im pretty sure the injectors are interchangeable too so you could swap them about but i would double check on that first

also have you got a power commander fitted? if so remove it while testing

Posted

a pipe off "in" the tank??

has that been put on to replcae the fuel filter by any chance?

Posted

Nope filter still there and the pipe and clip are perfect just weren't attached
