XmisterIS Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Mostly, when I give it the beans, the revs go up and she takes off like a good'un immediately.Sometimes, however, I'll open the throttle and for a split second, nothing happens, then the revs kick in. What's going on there? Simply a case of not being in the right gear? I tend to ride in high gear and low revs when I'm cruising, because the v-twin has plenty of low-end torque for it and it saves on petrol - I find I have to knock it down a couple of gears to pop the cruising revs up to about 5 or 6 K to make it immediately responsive to the throttle. Guest Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 On the face of it, sounds like the wrong gear, ie too low revs... on the face it. Quote
Guest Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I'm probably being way off the mark, being thick en all....... Is ya throttle just simply sticking? Quote
megawatt Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 If it has CV carbs, could be diaphragms or a weak mixture caused by a recent exhaust change? Quote
